This is the first painting l've ever created that's inspired from an experience that's not my own. It literally poured out of me. The muse was musing
Titled - ENOUGH
It depicts a pivotal moment of reclamation, a woman taking her power back after being repeatedly silenced.
The phrase "let's keep it on the down low" represents the husband's ongoing attempts to minimise, hide, and neutralise his behaviour. His quietness makes him appear stable, while her heightened reaction casts her as the irrational one, basically he's a professional gaslighter.
In this work, she reaches a breaking point.
She is no longer willing to stay quiet to preserve peace that only benefits him.
Her intensity becomes an act of truth-telling, not instability.
ENOUGH marks the moment she steps into her authentic self, speaks boldly, and reclaims the power she had been encouraged to give away. Enough is enough and she is enough.
Canvas prints are custom made-to-order. Please allow approximately 10 working days for manufacturing and approximately 10 working days for delivery depending on state and location in Australia.
Stretched Canvas prints come stretched onto a backing frame as seen in the photo and ready to hang.
A4 canvas prints are now available in the framed option. Any stretched Canvas Prints larger than A4 come without the float frame. We suggest taking these bigger pieces to your local framer. A beautiful light coloured wood like oak will compliment the work perfectly.
Unstretched canvas prints are supplied with an additional 75mm of mirror wrap printed canvas all around, to allow for the wrapping around the frame when stretched. They come rolled and packaged in a tube. Your local framer will also be able to help you stretch this and box frame it if you so wish.
Stretched and framed prints are not available to International customers. However unstretched is available worldwide.
